MacLive - he got me :D

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

If you didnt hear me on MacLive, I will be posting the interview up here shortly.
However, the big news that Mark managed to get out of me is that BitClamp is fully cross platform and will run in exactly the same way on windows (and linux if we get the demand).
The fact is - files move between platforms so why not BitClamp, Im sure this will please a few people (especially corporate users).
Windows support will not come straight away - we have concentrated on the Mac version for now, but it will come out shortly after.
The versions will be identical in pretty much every way.
Hope this helps a bunch of people :D

MacApper reactions and MacLive

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Ok - so I let Miles let loose a teaser on MacApper.
The response has been great and a lot of people are dying to see more. Mainly in beta form.
So heres the deal - How bout a screencast? that keep you going? want to see this thing in action?
I will talk to the guys and see what we can manage. But as it stands the beta is still a maybe. There has been a response but not a huge one for the beta so at the mo its looking like it will go straight to launch, but it wont be much longer guys :-) - I promise.
On another note tonight - 9.30pm UK time I will be interviewed about BitClamp on the MacLive podcast, hit the radio link to listen.
I may leak some more news :D Stay tuned - features will be revealed…..

Where we’re at….

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Hey guys,
Quick update to let you know whats going on over here.
We are currently waiting on some bank stuff to sort itself out (standard activation type process). This should happen over the weekend.
Im currently in talks with a few people and there may be a chance that BitClamp launches as an exclusive for a particular site, but this is all to be handled. Basically Ive been sending a few people some previews of BitClamp and the few people who have seen it are really impressed and excited.
So this brings me to the next burning question on my mind:
Do I release a Beta - the fact is, its ready - I know it is. So whats the point of releasing something for free if I dont intend to change it. But Im beginning to feel slightly frustrated at the moment by little admin things holding me back.
So - If you feel really strongly that you want a beta - email me, otherwise I probably wont.
But the wheels are turning and were getting there, you may even see some little hints on a few websites ;-)

iPhone optimization

Due to a lovely new wordpress plugin, the blog is now iPhone optimized, so if you visit on an iPhone or an iPod touch you will see a different layout - that is nicely iPhone friendly.

New front page and Twitter

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Recently updated the front page to reflect the fact that this month is looking a bit optimistic. We are looking like were sorted, but it looks like we may move to a new bank account. So we may launch the site - but you wont be able to buy anything for a few days…. which to me sounds pointless but we shall see.
On another note if you want to follow us on a more regular basis, half of my “tweets” on twitter these dates are about Crimson Sky so you can follow me at my twitter page.
We will see you soon!
