I have been really busy recently working on 1.2 and porting BitClamp over to “doze” so updates may slow for a time.
However, as its Christmas I thought I would leave you a bit of a teaser, and no this isn’t a mockup.

Hi guys,
BitClamp downloads will be on and off from now today as we move some of our hosting to Iceland. We are moving to Iceland so as to avoid US export restrictions - don’t worry you haven’t broken the law but we would rather be safe in matters like this.
So you may click the download link and get a 404 or a placeholder or it may work, it will be quite crazy for a few hours while we sort out name-servers etc.
Thanks for your patience.
UPDATE: The new servers are now online, thanks for your patience.

So, I’m sure by now that some of you would have noticed that when you sign up for MacHeist you get BitClamp for free.
I better clarify. You do indeed get BitClamp for free, but you don’t get the rights to future updates of the software, the app won’t even update itself.
For those “luxuries” you need to pay for the thing
Good luck with the heist!

Hey guys,
Things are changing on the blog, I’m bringing on a member of the beta team to help me keep the blog up to date. His name is Itai and he’s on the east coast of the USA. His job around here is to keep you lot informed of what is happening in the betas but not give too much away :-).
But thats enough from me, heres Itai!
Hey everyone! My name’s Itai, and I’m one of the beta testers on the BitClamp testing team. I’m here to keep you guys updated on the behind the scenes work that’s going on, well, behind the scenes.
Right now, we’re testing many stages of BitClamp, leading up to the release of BitClamp 1.1 (I know, we’re excited too!), which is going improve on all the little things you guys said would make BitClamp much better. And some not so little things are going to be updated too.
We’re going to upgrade all of our encryption systems! In BitClamp 1.1 you will be able to encrypt your files with 256 bit AES, 256 bit Serpent and a whopping 448 bit Blowfish. But that’s just a sneak peek of what’s to come. I hope to keep you guys as up to date as possible, and hope to post regularly.

Ok I realise its been a while since an update so here goes:
I’ve been working hard with our excellent beta team on the release of 1.1, this is going to be a biggie in terms of making BitClamp what users really want it to be as we are releasing some highly desired features.
First off: New algorithms.
BitClamp 1.1 is going to offer 3 totally re-worked algorithms that are (of course) backwards compatible. These three are now: 256 Bit Serpent, 256 Bit AES and a whopping 448 Bit Blowfish implementation.
Lots of you have been asking for more secure algorithms so here they are, and they operate at the same blazing speed that your used to.
We have also added an optional password confirmation field when adding a key to your encryption.
This is a big release and I will be pushing a bit more marketing out there, but if you were waiting to purchase this may be the release to do so. (Especially as we may well be releasing the Windows version very soon
).

Hey guys,
I just got back home to see a couple of bug reports (and an angry email saying that I have been ignoring a couple of bug reports [that dont exist]).
Basically, Growl is not playing nice with the current version. I cant deal with it now as I need to sleep but I will have a temporary fix in place tomorrow and a permanent fix by friday.
Thanks for your patience.

First things first:
Sorry that the free decryptor is not up yet, I experienced a hard drive failure which means Im without some of my files, more specifically the icons for it! I back everything up but Im without leopard until wednesday (when my new HD arrives). Expect to see it up by then.
On another note: I am creating a beta team for BitClamp to test future features and help me out with the promotion side. If you are interested contact me via the form or danny [at] crimsonskysoftware [dot] com.
Thanks
